Ground Living Ants Database

This database is the accompanying Web site to the Ants: Standard Methods for Measuring and Monitoring Biodiversity book.

It's philosophy is similar to GenBank, where data can be deposited and retrieved. It allows to retrieve ant sample datasets to be analyzed at her own, but with the attached hyperlinks to further information on each species. The Online Input Form allows to deposit samples.

The data will be maintained in the SIWeb databases, and added to the existing distribution database. The input form will reject data sets which are either incomplete or erroneous. The sample data has to be inputted as matrix, with the now header row and two lead columns, the first for genus, the second for the species name. All the field must be separated by TABS.

The easiest way to input the data is using copy and paste from within a spread sheet such as Excel.
